In 2012: Garcia saw action in 13 games as a true freshman averaging just under 10 minutes a game...He scored in seven games with a season high of six points against Bacone...Garcia also had a season-best four assists and three rebounds against Bacone.

High School: Garcia led Jersey Village High School in scoring for three straight seasons...As a sophomore he averaged 11.9 points per game and earned Honorable Mention All-District honors...He upped his average to 14.3 points per game as junior nabbing second team all-district honors. As a senior he averaged 20.2 points, 1.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. He was against second team all-district and won MVP honors at the 2012 Houston Area Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game. He was coached by former Texas A&I basketball player Reggie Childress at Jersey Village.

Personal: Garcia is the son of Vicente and Torgy Garcia and has a brother Javier. He is studying business.
