2010: Alvarez was named to the all-Lone Star Conference team after scoring 15 points at the conference championships.

High School: Alvarez competed in volleyball and track at Victoria Memorial HS. She earned first team all-area honors in the high jump and second team all-area honors in the pole vault. She was named Memorial's Female Athlete of the Year. In volleyball she was a two-time all-district outside hitter and earned all-area honors as a senior. She was on three District championship track team. She earned TGCA All-Academic team honors and as a three-time academic all-district honoree. She was a member of the honor roll and earned the History award.

Personal: Alvarez is the daughter of Sammy and Jeri Alvarez and is studying Pre-med.
