High School: Treviño competed in cross country, basketball, and track at San Diego HS. She was regional qualifier for four years and state qualifier in the 3200-meter run as a senior. She earned all-district honors in cross country as a freshman and a senior. She set the school record in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs. She was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Treviño is the daughter of Carlos and Ruth Treviño and is studying Kinesiology.
