2010: Martinez was named to the LSC All-Academic Team in track. Martinez was the cross country team's #2 runner in the fall. She finished in 17th at the LSC Championships and earned LSC All-Academic Team honors. She ran a personal best in the 5000 at the LSC Championships to take third place in a time of 18:57.69.

2009: Martinez was the Javelina cross country team’s top runner in the fall. She competed in the 1500-meters during the track season. She had a season best performance of 5:14.40 at the Texas Twilight (4/18).

High School: Martinez competed in cross country and track at Zapata HS. She was regional qualifier for three years in track. She earned TGCA All-State cross country honors three times. She was a four-time state qualifier in cross country and two-time district champion. She was the district champion in the 3200-meter run as a junior. She graduated as Top 10%, Honor Roll student, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Martinez is the daughter of Raquel and Carlos Martinez. She is majoring in Communication Science.
