2009: Hernandez earned LSC Honorable Mention honors. She was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week on October 14 and 20. She had 11 digs, a kill and an assist in the win over Cameron (10/8) and came back with one of her best matches of the season against Midwestern State (10/10). She tallied a season high 24 digs in the four set win. She committed only one reception error during the week. The following week she led the Javelina defense with 4.2 digs per set. She tallied a season high 27 digs in the team’s win at Southeastern Oklahoma (10/15). She added 15 more digs in a win at East Central (10/17). She had double figure dig totals in 25 of 26 matches and reached 20 digs on seven occasions. She was eighth in the LSC in digs per set (4.21). She is currently fifth in career digs (1,155) at the school.

2008: Hernandez earned Honorable Mention all-Lone Star Conference honors. She took over the role of libero early in the season and never relinquished it. She led the team with 4.30 digs per set which put her sixth in the conference. She had at least 20 digs in a match on nine occasions and had double figures in 22 matches. She recorded 30 digs in matches at Tarleton State (10/4) and against Central Oklahoma (10/9). She was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week on September 23 after averaging 5.4 digs in two matches.

2007: Hernandez appeared in 86 games and all 26 matches. She averaged over three digs per game as a defensive specialist. She had 10 digs or more in 12 matches. She tallied a season high 28 digs against Cameron (10/20). She had 20 digs in regular season ending win over Tarleton (11/3).

High School: Hernandez was a first team All-District pick as a senior at Katy High School. She was named the co-Libero of the Year in district 18-5A after registering 501 digs as a senior. She helped lead Katy to a bi-district championship and was an academic All-District selection.

Personal: Hernandez is the daughter of Teresa and Jesse Hernandez and is majoring in Psychology.
