KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – Texarkana College outfielder Zoila Olguin signed with Texas A&M-Kingsville and head softball coach Ricki Rothbauer on Tuesday to continue her collegiate career with the Javelinas.

Olguin is from Denton, TX and played softball at Billy Ryan High School before heading to Texarkana College.  She was a four-time first team all-district selection while leading Ryan HS to four playoff appearances, three district titles and a State Runner-Up finish.

A 5-2 outfielder, Olguin earned first team all-conference honors en route to leading Texarkana to a conference title and regional tournament appearance as a sophomore in 2012.  As a freshman, she hit .283 with 34 stolen bases in 51 games.  During her sophomore season she hit .274 with 26 stolen bases and scored 46 runs in 54 games.  She posted a .365 on-base percentage after walking 24 times.
