Women's Golf Signs Coy |

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – Texas A&M-Kingsville women’s golf coach Alessandra Dominguez announced that Ana Coy signed a National Letter of Intent to join the program in 2012-13. Coy is the sister of current Javelina Ashley Coy and hails from Bastrop, TX where she played for Bastrop High School. She is a four-time Regional qualifier and led her team to a district championship as a junior by winning the individual title. As a senior, she finished in second place in District 16-4A as a senior. She was the team captain and won the Pflugerville Hendrickson Golf Tournament and TEM-CAT Golf Tournament as a senior. In the summer of 2011, she finished in third place in a pair of South Texas PGA tournaments, the Grey Rock Golf Tournament and Cimarron Hills Golf Tournament. She also won the City of Austin Golft Tournament in 2010. Coy is highly involved in many extracurricular activities earning the Rising Star Award and she was the Senior Class President. She is the daughter of Greg and Sondra Coy and plans to study Architectural Engineering. #### pr12195smm |
