Men's Basketball Schedule Announced

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – The 2011-12 Texas A&M-Kingsville men’s basketball opens November 11-12 in Laredo, TX for a two-day tournament against UT-Permian Basin and Texas A&M-International.

After the initial to games away from Kingsville Hampton Inn Court, the Javelinas return home for a stretch of eight home games in a span of nine games.  The home opener for the Hoggies is November 15 against A&M-International at 7 p.m.

The team heads off to St. Edward’s and will proceed on a seven game home stand.  The stretch begins with three games in four days starting with Texas Lutheran on November 19, Sul Ross State on the 20th and St. Edward’s on the 22nd.  They close out the month against St. Mary’s on November 28.

December opens with the Javelinas hosting three Lone Star Conference opponents.  Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M will be in town on December 1 and 3, respectively.  The final home game of the fall semester will take place on December 7 against Tarleton State.

The Javelinas will be off for a week due to class finals, but return to the court December 17 at Midwestern State.  They will continue on to Cameron for the final game of 2011 on December 19.

After the game with Cameron the Javelinas do not play another game until January 4 at Angelo State.  Following that game, the team returns home for the first time in a month against Abilene Christian on January 7.

The Hoggies have their third extended break of the season following the ACU game, but return to the floor on January 18 at Incarnate Word and the Cardinals return the favor three days later in Kingsville.

The month of January closes with three straight road games at St. Mary’s, Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M.  February opens with a fourth straight road game at Tarleton on the 1st.

On February 4 and 6, the Javelinas and A&M-Commerce engage in a home-and-home series starting in Kingsville and moving to Commerce.

The Javelinas close the season with three straight home games against Cameron, Midwestern State and Angelo State before playing a final game at Abilene Christian on February 19.
