SAN ANGELO, Texas- The Lone Star Conference released its 2023 All-Conference baseball teams on Wednesday, as four members of the Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball team were recognized, including three on the third team and one on the first team.

Junior Kobe Jaramillo was a third-team selection, along with sophomore Jake Chapman and redshirt junior Ivan Duarte.

Jaramillo served as the staff ace, starting 13 games on the bump. He tossed 75.1 innings and struck out 77 over his junior season. Jaramillo recorded five quality starts and twirled a nine-inning complete game shutout against Eastern New Mexico, affording him LSC and NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Week honors. Additionally, Jaramillo is now a two-time All-LSC selection after making the third team in 2022.

Chapman, meanwhile, has been a staple in the outfield and has now earned back-to-back third-team selections. He mashed two home runs and drove in 22 RBIs, holding a batting average of .333 with 42 hits. Chapman walked 16 times for a .421 on-base percentage and was plunked six times throughout the campaign.

Duarte represented a first-time selection and was an iron man, starting all 52 games at shortstop for the Javelinas. He drove in 23 runs, going 63-for-176 on the season for a .358 batting average. The Juarez, Mexico native drew 21 walks and doubled 13 times to cap off a stellar conference slate. 

Junior Nick Wolff represents the lone first-team selection after a season that's seen him boast a .406 batting average across 143 at-bats and 40 starts behind the plate. The Klein, Texas native scored 44 times in 2023, driving in 52 runs and launching 13 long balls in the process. Additionally, Wolff has walked 19 times and holds an OPS of 1.234.
