Mar. 26, 2010 - Wings Over South Texas
Texas A&M-Kingsville hosted a pep rally for the Wings Over South Texas Air Show. Over 4,000 students from around the area showed up.

Mar. 25, 2010 - Men's Basketball helps out Kleberg County Historical Commission
The Javelina men's basketball team helped out the Kleberg County Historical Commission by moving 113 boxes of Kleberg County History Books (678 books) from the vacated Kingsville Publishing building, where they had been stored, over to the TAMUK Library. They will be stored in the Archives on the third floor of the Library, under the direction of Sandra Rexroat.

Mar. 23, 2010 - Teddy Bear Drive
The Javelina football team helped give away Teddy Bears at Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg. The Teddy Bear Drive was organized by Corporal Tanya Little, a member of the TAMUK Police Department.

Mar. 21, 2010 - Live the Dream Relay
The IBC Bank Cactus Cup teamed up with Special Olympics Texas for a relay race involving student-athletes from Texas A&M-Kingsville, Incarnate Word, UT-Pan American, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Special Olympics Texas.

Mar. 2, 2010 - Baseball at Whataburger Field
The Javelina baseball team took on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Whataburger Field. There was an alumni reception at the game.

Former Texas A&M and Alabama football coach Gene Stallings made a visit to campus and spoke to the athletic department as part of his role as the Texas A&M University System Regent. The Javelinas played Angelo State on "Pack the House" Night and had 3,100 people at the men's game. Two thousand tickets were given away for free thanks to IBC Bank.

Oct. 14, 2009 - Breast Cancer Awareness Forum
Athletics in association with Life Services and Wellness held a Breast Cancer Awareness Forum in McCulley Hall. With the support of the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills grant we were able to host this awareness forum for our female student athletes. JoElda Castillo-Alaniz and Desiree Flores, both members of Life Services and Wellness, were the facilitators of this forum. They discussed self examinations and how to conduct monthly exams, they revealed just how breast cancer had impacted each of their lives.
