James Hill
James Hill, from San Antonio, is one of the nation’s best-known sportscaster, working for CBS Sports in Los Angeles. He was inducted into the Javelina Hall of Fame in 1981.
He is a brother of David Hill, tight end with the Javelinas in the mid-1070s and now with the Detroit Lions.
Hill was an All-American performer for the Javelinas and was all-conference twice. He served as a captain of the 1967 team.
He set several records while with the Javelinas and held the season interception mark for several years. He was named to the LSC Team of the Decade for the 1960s.
Hill was selected to play in several post-season all-star games and was a first-round pick of the San Diego Chargers in 1967.
He was a member of the Javelina track and field team.
