Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance Breanne Flores |
 Breanne Flores-Contreras joined the athletic department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator in July of 2008. In addition to managing the athletic department’s NCAA compliance program, Contreras provides administrative oversight for the office of academic outreach. She also serves as the advisor for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) a committee comprised of current student athletes representing their respective teams. Contreras also serves as the Lone Star Conference SAAC liaison. She is an active member of National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) and National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).The native of Bishop, TX., served as the Athletic Academic Advisor from 2005-2007. During this time, she created the Student Athlete Graduation Luncheon. A luncheon held every semester honoring the graduating athletes that semester in front of their teammates, coaches, professors and university administrators. Contreras also help to create and implement “Operation Paintbrush,” a community service project in which student athletes help paint low income homes in the Kleberg County area. Contreras acquired her bachelor's degree in International Business Management in December of 2004 from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. While working in the athletic department Contreras completed her master’s degree in Business Administration. In addition, Contreras was a facilitator for the 2009-10 NCAA Division II Leadership Academy. The NCAA Division II Leadership Academy engages a diverse representation of student-athletes, coaches, administrators and faculty in leadership education to enhance self-awareness and facilitate partnerships that will affect progress on campuses, within conferences, throughout Division II, and beyond the collegiate realm. Contreras completed the academy in 2008 as a participant and returned as a facilitator. Contreras is the eldest daughter of Ricky and Norma Flores of Bishop, TX. Breanne and her husband Johnny reside in Kingsville. |
