Entry Restrictions Number Restrictions Relays: 1 team per school Individual entries: 3 per school Vertical Jumps: 3 per school Throwing Events: 3 per school Horizontal Jumps: 3 per school, Meet Information MEET SITE The track is an all-weather Tartan surface and the lanes are 42" wide, with 8 lanes on the oval and 8 for straightaway races. The pole Vault runway Tartan. Field House is located just off Armstrong Drive on the TAMUK campus. PACKET PICKUP Coaches should pick up their teams meet packet prior to competing Saturday 7:30 AM Until 8:30 AM at McCulley Hall of the Field house. Arrange Payment of Your Entry Fee 1. Individual Entries are $5.00 per event per athlete. 2. This fee must be paid prior to the meet at packet pickup. 3. Checks should be made payable to TAMUK Athletic Department. MEET PACKETS Team packets will include heat sheets, time schedule, relay cards, coaches infield passes and instructions TRAINING AREA Trainers will be available in the Javelina Fieldhouse for emergencies. TIME SCHEDULE A copy of the tentative time schedule is located on the website. Running event times are approximate. We will run an event by event schedule. Coaches should prepare their athletes for this rolling schedule and for possible advances or delays. A revised schedule will be in your packet, and will be posted on the web site www.tamuk.edu Thursday, April 19 by 8:00 PM. Go to Track & Field and click on High School Regional Qualifiers Invitational Heat Sheets. SPECIAL MEET RULE(S) • No radios or portable stereos will be allowed through the gates of the Fieldhouse. Please remind your athletes of this policy. (Walkman-type individual radios are OK.). • NCAA rules pertaining to electronic equipment will be strictly enforced HEAT SHEETS & RESULTS Heat sheets will be posted on the web site www.tamuk.edu Thursday, April 19 at 8:00 PM. Go to: Track & Field and click on High School Regional Qualifiers Invitational Heat Sheets. They will also be in your packet at check in. Individual event results will be posted at the conclusion of that event in the Field House. Final results will available to teams from the press box after the meet, and will be posted on the same web site. RELAY ENTRIES Relay teams should check in at the Clerking area to determine Heat and Lanes. This constitutes the checking for the relay event. ATHLETE CHECK-IN Running Events: Athletes must check in one event prior to their own event at the check-in area (Clerk of Course) Field events: Athletes must check in 15 minutes prior to the start of their event with the Head Judge of that event at the event site. Relay Events: Relay teams should check in one event prior to their own event at the check-in area (Clerk of Course). Relay teams should pick up a relay card in the Clerking area, fill it out, and turn it in to the clerk of course. QUALIFYING For the events that have preliminaries the top 8 times will be taken to the finals. All other running events will be contested as sections against time. In field events, the top 8 marks for the preliminary rounds will advance to the finals. SCORING This will be a non-scoring meet. IMPLEMENT INSPECTION Throwing implements will be inspected in the Field House. Inspections will begin 1½ hours prior to the event and conclude ½ hour prior to the event. Implements will be transported to the event area one half hour prior to the event's starting time. STARTING HEIGHTS Will be determined after entry deadline and posted on the website. WARMUPS Running Events: Warm ups for all running events will be inside the grass field In the stadium Field Events: Athletes will have access to field event venues for warm ups approximately 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start of competition. Warm ups for field events will be terminated ten minutes prior to the scheduled start of the event. In the high jump, measuring tapes may not be used within 30 minutes of starting time.
